A cinematic travel film in New Zealand, my home. I’ve always had a passion for travelling and exploring new countries and cultures but always took for granted the beauty my home had to offer and due to the uncertainty of 2020, I finally had a good excuse to explore the South Island of New Zealand for the first time.
“He was the advisor everybody recommended you should have,” says Paul Milgrom of Robert Wilson, his PhD supervisor and now near neighbour in Palo Alto and co-Laureate in Economic Sciences. In this conversation with Adam Smith, recorded 20 minutes after Milgrom had learned of his prize, he describes how it was Wilson who actually delivered the news, in person: “He and his wife just walked over and rang the doorbell.”
Not only are the 2020 Economics Science Laureates long-time collaborators, they are also neighbours in Palo Alto, and so when Robert Wilson heard the news of his prize from Stockholm, he simply crossed the street and knocked on Paul Milgrom’s door to wake him! “It sounds like something from the nineteenth century,” says Wilson in this conversation with Adam Smith, recorded shortly after the news became public. He describes his pride at the fact that Milgrom is the third of his students, after Alvin Roth and Bengt Holmström, to be awarded the prize, a perfect combination of events that he calls his “trifecta”.
In this video, we’re touring a really unique and modern shipping container home in Kamloops, BC, and hearing from the family’s story of how and why they host their shipping container on Airbnb. Cathi and her husband Trevor downsized to this small space three years ago after their sons had left home and the couple has been living in it full-time ever since.
The main house has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a living room, and a full bathroom. It’s built with 4 recycled shipping containers. There’s an additional studio space that’s connected to the main house with a breezeway and it is set up as a fully self-contained micro cabin, plus there’s an awesome outdoor kitchen with a dining space and wood-fired pizza oven.
Back in March, it became clear that I’d be spending a lot of time at home in the Carolinas. The nearby Blue Ridge Mountains have been the backdrop for so many of my ideas, but I’ve never made them a main character in my work. I took this year as an opportunity to do just that. This project gave me a much-needed incentive to rediscover and truly appreciate the landscapes in my backyard- I hope it inspires you to do the same.

Nestled on the rocky cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, a short distance from the historic center of Positano, we find this beautiful 155-sqm villa with 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Tesla is by far one of the most successful companies in modern history. They popularized fully electric cars and created a massive demand among the public. With a market cap of around 380 billion dollars, Tesla is growing by the day.
But to keep up with orders Tesla built a futuristic facility called the Gigafactory. Today we’re taking a look inside the Tesla Gigafactory. Tesla currently produces about 350,000 cars a year—far fewer than the public demands. But they have ambitions to ramp up production to more than 20 million cars a year.
This bold strategy will require numerous advances in their current chain of production, including several larger factories, which are currently being built all over the world. But the bedrock of Tesla’s production line is their Gigafactory in Sparks, Nevada. The company’s first fully built factory will serve as the model for what eventually could be a dozen massive Tesla factories globally.

I knew nothing about Slovenia before I set foot in this wonderful country.
Slovenia truly is a gem, from the soaring peaks of the Julian Alps and the subterranean magic of Postojna caves, to the sparkling emerald-green lakes and rivers and the short but sweet coastline along the Adriatic Sea, tiny Slovenia really does have it all.
With more than half of its total surface still covered in forest, Slovenia does more than simply claim it’s ‘green’, it really is one of the greenest countries on earth, and also is the first country in the world to be, as a whole, declared a Green Destination.
Slovenia, a country in Central Europe, is known for its mountains, ski resorts and lakes. On Lake Bled, a glacial lake fed by hot springs, the town of Bled contains a church-topped islet and a cliffside medieval castle. In Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital, baroque facades mix with the 20th-century architecture of native Jože Plečnik, whose iconic Tromostovje (Triple Bridge) spans the tightly curving Ljubljanica River.
