Poetic Short Films: “Home” – The Himalayas Of Ladakh

Going the distance is not about how far away will you get, But from what length you are willing to return.

Seldom, we get to do projects crafted with so much perseverance, honesty, and love. Shooting at one of the most humble places in the world – Ladakh and exploring a side we hadn’t seen before, be it the raw beauty of the place or the wholehearted emotions of its people – it was a process that got us close to the feeling of being a Himalayan. Their way of life made us think if we are missing a point when we say we need to go the distance in life. Maybe at times going the distance could mean going back, to your roots. This introspection is what fuelled our latest project ‘Home’ for the Royal Enfield Himalayan.

We would like to thank some really talented minds who got associated with the project because they felt what we felt. It was an ever-evolving collaboration where each crew member brought something special to the film. A project that started with a casual conversation about doing something meaningful to shaping a strong idea and concept, to multiple jamming sessions with some of the best writers in the industry, to finally shooting in the extreme winter conditions of Ladakh (-17°C at 17,000 Feet to be precise), to endless hours on the edit, grade, and music. Yes, it’s been a long journey and a beautiful one.

We feel proud & blessed to be a part of this project and to having some of the most beautiful people in our team without whom this film wouldn’t be what it is. Grateful to each one of you for making this piece your own.
We’re excited to share our latest film with you all. Hope this finds a place in your heart as well.

Outdoor Recreation: Why ‘Polaris’ Is Going Electric

Polaris Inc. is a dominant player in the off-road vehicle market, selling top-of-the-line ATV’s, snowmobiles, and utility vehicles, among others. Unlike many other companies, Polaris saw its revenue increase in 2020 thanks to an unexpected boom in powersports and increased interest in outdoor activities. While it rides this high, however, some doubt how long it can last. In the past year, Polaris has begun expanding its electric vehicle line-up, hoping to gain some further momentum from the rapidly-growing market. However, some analysts are skeptical of the company’s ability to push into the electric space, which may be challenging given consumer hesitation regarding comparative performance, as well as fierce competition from other leading brands.

Future Transportation: “BMW Motorrad Electric Motorcycle” (Iago Valiño)

From a Yanko Design article (June 3, 2020):

This electric motorcycle is designed for long-distance journeys keeping in mind any tough conditions that can come up on the way. The aesthetic has been inspired by the iconic Ural motorcycles with the designer adding his own modern twist on the post-WWII BMW customs…it swaps the traditional passenger cart for a sidecar which will be equipped with tools and essential gear. The extra storage space also includes straps to hold down the cargo or tools you are carrying and with a flat base, there is room for extra batteries too.

We love seeing designers get creative with electric bikes! Ladakh - Land Of The High Passes Travel Video by Neomoral 2019

The Himalayan terrain, beside the Great Indus, is infamous for its harsh and cold weather; oftentimes its landscapes are even unreachable to the common people. It’s a wonder really, what exactly transpires to make this place so fascinating.

Ladakh – The ‘Land of the High Passes’ – is among the most stunning parts of the Indian Himalayas. Widely known as the cold desert, it holds within itself beauty that is pristine and glorious. Stretching from peak to peak, it is an exquisite canvas of surreal art done with celestial strokes of red, ochre and purple rocks, made over thousands of years into shapes so unexpected and so phenomenal, the eye can hardly believe.

An icon of heavenly beauty, the scenery makes people either speechless or wholly expressive. Everyone gets stunned and nobody can remain indifferent.

Ladakh induces in all, a permanent high. A rush so unhinged, you struggle to find the adjectives to talk of the imprint it leaves on you.
