We’ve visited Yarnton before in the first episode of Exploring the Cotswolds, but at the time we didn’t realise there was so much more to see. Join us this week as we explore the church and some of the stories around the village.
Yarnton is a village and civil parish in Oxfordshire about 1 mile southwest of Kidlington and 4 miles northwest of Oxford. The 2011 Census recorded the parish’s population as 2,545.

There are hundreds of species of wildflowers found in Mount Rainier National Park, far more than can be represented here. The Ötztal is an Alpine valley in the western Austrian state of Tyrol. It’s known for its ski areas at Sölden and Obergurgl-Hochgurgl. A stone pyramid on the Similaun glacier marks the site where the mummified corpse of “Ötzi the Iceman” was found. Ötzi Village is an outdoor museum recreating life in the Neolithic era. Mountainside stairs and a suspension footbridge offer close-up views of nearby Stuiben Falls.

Chaka Salt Lake is a salt lake in Ulan County, Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai, China. The oval-shaped lake is located near the eastern end of Qaidam Basin, 298 kilometres to the west of the provincial capital Xining. The name “Chaka” means “salt lake” in Tibetan.
