Through first-person accounts of the disaster and eyewitness footage, experience the terrifying power of the eruption and the devastating tsunami that struck the shores of Tonga. Why was this eruption so big, how did it cause the tsunami, and could another disaster loom?
Notice that Mauna Loa, the largest active volcano in the world, was going to erupt — as it did this week for the first time in nearly four decades — came to people on the Big Island of Hawaii an hour before the lava began to flow. Public officials scrambled to alert nearby residents. Scientists rushed to predict which areas of the island might be in danger. The curious made plans to observe what could shape up to be an event of a lifetime: the exhalation of a massive mountain.
We are greatly inspired by nature’s beauty. And that feeling was especially strong while we were visiting Indonesia. At first, we couldn’t even believe that all this is real. Giant trees with leaves as big as people. Beaches with waves higher than most houses. Volcanoes surrounded by deserted valleys with unbelievable colours.
Our project aims to immerse the viewer into that fantastic atmosphere: with every frame of video footage, with every note of orchestral music. We want you to really feel the overwhelming beauty of those flights. We have been working on this project for a 1,5 year. And every day of work brought us back to those places and the emotions we experienced.
We lived on Java and Bali for 4 months and it allowed us to feel the islands, to absorb the local atmosphere. It helped us to find the best angles and composition to capture the immense beauty of Indonesia. And now we’re finally ready to share it with you.
Iceland, a Nordic island nation, is defined by its dramatic landscape with volcanoes, geysers, hot springs and lava fields. Massive glaciers are protected in Vatnajökull and Snæfellsjökull national parks. Most of the population lives in the capital, Reykjavik, which runs on geothermal power and is home to the National and Saga museums, tracing Iceland’s Viking history.
It’s been a year since I made a trip to Iceland with my sister. This was when the Faggrasjadal volcano was still active and we really wanted to see it with our own eyes. And this was definitely one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had.
In addition, we drove through almost all of Iceland in five days and we visited a lot of spectacular places with the most beautiful views. Five days is of course way too little to see everything and that’s why I really can’t wait until I can go back to visit Iceland.

Costa Rica is a rugged, rainforested Central American country with coastlines on the Caribbean and Pacific. Though its capital, San Jose, is home to cultural institutions like the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum, Costa Rica is known for its beaches, volcanoes, and biodiversity. Roughly a quarter of its area is made up of protected jungle, teeming with wildlife including spider monkeys and quetzal birds.

Ecuador is a country straddling the equator on South America’s west coast. Its diverse landscape encompasses Amazon jungle, Andean highlands and the wildlife-rich Galápagos Islands. In the Andean foothills at an elevation of 2,850m, Quito, the capital, is known for its largely intact Spanish colonial center, with decorated 16th- and 17th-century palaces and religious sites, like the ornate Compañía de Jesús Church.

Our Iceland Travel Guide! Finally after two years we are able to bring the epic country of Iceland to you. We wanted to make sure we re-launched our travel show with something spectacular and Iceland fit the bill perfectly. From the volcanoes, to the geysers, to the beaches, to the food to the people, Iceland is like nowhere I’ve ever been before.
What an insanely beautiful place. We’re joined in this episode by the incomparable Icelandic chef and TV star Ólafur Örn Ólafsson. What an absolute legend, a true ambassador for Iceland and an honour to be able to include him in our little show.
