Wave Cloud Sand II short film by Matt Kleiner 2019

Ten years ago I uploaded my first video to Vimeo titled WAVE CLOUD SAND. The idea was loosely based on finding beauty in the in-between moments that surrounded my projects at the time. Ten years later that same sentiment holds true and these are those moments from more recent travel throughout Australia, Chile, Mexico, Norway, and Hawaii. The moments when no one is around, views are unobstructed, nature is in its natural state, and perfect waves are left untouched.

Homebuilder KB Homes Discusses Smart Homes Of Tomorrow (Video)

From a MarketRealist.com online article:

The home’s adaptation is not only about automatically adjusting lights to match the circadian rhythms of the occupants or unlocking a door based on facial recognition. It’s also adapting over time to occupants’ needs. For instance, Bridleman describes walls that move to create new spaces or beds that fold into the wall creating an office space—all based on voice commands.

KB Home’s (KBH) SVP Dan Bridleman discusses the smart home of tomorrow and the work the company is doing to make the home the center of a smart ecosystem. Instead of traditional bespoke construction techniques, modularity and the off-site construction of building blocks or subsystems are the trends for new construction seen in the KB Home ProjeKt.

Remains of the Fall Short Travel Film by Timo Oksanen 2019

In the end of September 2019 the leaves had fallen from most of the trees in Enontekiö, Finland, but the colours were still visible in the ground. I captured the remains of the fall foliage with my DJI Mavic 2 Pro with some help from ground-level timelapse cameras.

Video Profiles: Architect Roger Zogolovitch Tours His “HouseBoat” Home In Southern England (2019)

From a The Modern House online article:

Away from the city, Roger escapes to his home near Poole, Dorset for what he calls an ‘analogue retreat’. To hear Roger talk about the inspirations behind the building, which resembles an up-turned boat and which is both eccentric and serene, fun and functional…

For the final instalment in this batch of our Masters of Design series, we’re paying a visit to architect Roger Zogolovitch’s boat-inspired house near Poole, Dorset – the recipient of two RIBA awards and a paragon in split-level living. Watch the film here.

Roger Zogolovitch The Houseboat Southern England Interior

Roger is the founder and creative director of Solidspace, an independent developer focused on unearthing the potential of backland gap sites rarely noticed by mainstream housebuilders. By skillfully utilising overlooked sites in the urban environment – adjacent to railroads or between and above office buildings, for instance – Roger proposes intelligent design solutions to the challenges of providing enough homes for a growing population.

There is no other forest in the world then this one with it largest tree in the world. The redwoods are the tallest, among the oldest, and one of the most massive tree species on Earth.I am so grateful for the work of the Save the Redwoods League, that was founded in 1918 to preserve remaining old-growth nearly 90% of the original redwood trees had been logged. It was our biggest challenge to capture the true beauty and greatness of these giants this is definitely a park you need to see with your own eyes we have visited many different national park but this one is so magical I truly believe it should be on one of the wonders of the world list.No wonder Jurassic Park and one of the Star wars was filmed here this forest feel so ancient when we saw fern canyon I could easily imagine the dinosaur passing us when we walked in the canyon.

Video Profiles: Italian Photographer Massimo Vitali At Home In Lucca

Directed by: Barbara Anastacio

Even though the image-maker’s large color works are held in galleries around the world, Vitali chooses not to display any photography in his home. Instead, the crumbling walls, sky blue vaulted ceilings, eroded slogans, frescoes and marble archways of the church provide as much narrative as any image.

My Place - Massimo Vitali Short Film 2019

Massimo Vitali - Natural HabitatsAn assortment of inflatable alligators, damp bodies and candy cane-colored umbrellas typify Italian photographer Massimo Vitali’s ongoing Beach Series, which he began in 1995. Born in Como, Italy in 1944 Vitali’s internationally recognized panoramas of busy ski resorts, clubs, pools and piazzas explore the multilayered stories present in communal leisure places.

“Vitali’s choice of home reflects his intrigue in the spaces that people chose to congregate in”

This Barbara Anastacio-directed episode takes us away from the crowds and into the tranquil Tuscan city of Lucca where Vitali lives with his wife and son. The photographer’s home is a fourteenth-century church, which—in one of it’s most recent incarnations—was used a boxing and fencing gym for young fascists during the Mussolini years.

Top New Travel Videos: “The Hand Of India” By Simon Mulvaney (2019)

Filmed, Edited and Directed by: Simon Mulvaney

The Hand Of India By Simon Mulvaney (2019)

At the height of the Cold War, amidst growing tensions between the US and Russia, Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi traveled to Washington D.C to deliver a pragmatic speech on the subjects of communication, understanding and friendship.

35 years later, with increasing polarisation around the globe, her simple yet elegant message has never felt so relevant.

However, it is in India, where Indira Gandhi’s message still rings most true; somehow managing to make sense of a beguiling and beautifully chaotic society, with a rich reputation of inspiring swathes of Western visitors.

The Hand Of India By Simon Mulvaney (2019)

Shot during a two month backpacking trip, with minimal camera equipment, this is my attempt to communicate the beauty of Indira’s home country, along with the resonating themes she touched upon all those years ago.
