Since its founding in 1984, the team behind Eagle has steadily worked their dedication into an obsession, with the outcome being the last word in the world of the Jaguar E-Type. Unlike many restoration specialists, Eagle keeps all the work in-house, and none of it is rushed.
Indeed Eagle CEO Henry Pearman says it takes the team nearly 4,000 hours to complete one of the company’s ground-up, full-on Eagle E-Types, and while they aren’t for those on a tight budget, there is clear evidence of the claim that the business is foremost driven by passion, not profits. A purely commercial endeavor would find ways to cut costs and hurry the process, but the completed cars—whether they be restorations or bespoke commissions—that leave Eagle’s countryside compound in Sussex are not just faultless E-Type specimens, they are examples of what can be achieved after decades of refinement and accumulated knowledge. Nobody knows these cars better, and in that same vein, nobody is building them better.

Howtown is a hamlet in Cumbria, England, situated at a small harbour on the east shore of Ullswater in the Lake District. It lies within the civil parish of Martindale.
Howtown is about three and a half miles from Pooley Bridge and is best reached by water. The Ullswater ‘Steamers’ regularly stop there on their way from Glenridding at the southern end of Ullswater to Pooley Bridge at the northern end of the lake.
The name Howtown means “farmstead on the hill”. The place name is from the Old Norse word haugr, meaning “hill” or “mound”, and the Old English word tün, meaning “town”. It contains the Howtown Hotel. Howtown was founded by the How (or Howe) family.

This walking tour was filmed on 10 October on a wet and rainy day in London. I decided to start filming on London tower bridge, go down on the Thames river and back again on the river. I really like this king of videos as are relaxing and quiet, specially when outside is raining
Travel In The Cotswolds: ‘Stroud’, Gloucestershire
Stroud is a market town on the western side of the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire, England. It is the meeting point for the surrounding five valleys and is renowned both for its steep streets and highly political culture. It was heavily involved in the industrial revolution and produced cloth, powered by small rivers which flow through the five valleys. Although not often considered a classic Cotswold town, it is well worth a visit.
English Country Homes: ‘Great Baynden – Kent’
From the 16th century onwards, hop-growing was a major source of income in the Weald of Kent, especially around the village of Horsmonden, eight miles east of Tun-bridge Wells, where an enthusiastic American visitor described how ‘the oast-house towers of Horsmonden seem almost to plough the rich soil of their Kentish hopfield like graceful yachts on a gently rolling sea’.
Great Baynden is a superb Kent house that’s full of the sort of touches you’d hope to see when moving to a period home in the country, as Penny Churchill explains.
Such is the backdrop to handsome, Grade II-listed Great Baynden in School House Lane, Horsmonden, which stands on high ground two miles north-east of the village, with panoramic views over the Weald to the North Downs.
