I have such a strong admiration for the diverse formations and complex patterns of the American Southwest that truly make you feel like you’re on another planet.

The Southwestern United States (called the American Southwest or simply the Southwest) is a region of the western United States. The region is warmer than the northern states and drier than the eastern states. The area includes Arizona and New Mexico, sometimes called the “Desert Southwest.” Often counted as part of the Southwest are Southern California, parts of Nevada, Utah, and Colorado and western Texas. The Southwest has seen large amounts of growth in recent years, both the Phoenix, Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada areas are amongst the fastest growing in the country.

Known for its plethora of ancient ruins, whitewashed villages, sunny beaches, tasty cuisine and friendly atmosphere, it is no wonder that Greece ranks among Europe’s top travel destinations. Greece is made up of a mountainous mainland and hundreds of islands where each one offers its own share of stunning landscapes, historic sites, nightlife scenes and cultural delights. Many tourists like to begin their trip on the mainland, which is home to the capital city, Athens. One of the world’s oldest cities, Athens is known the world over for classic ruins and temples like the iconic Parthenon complex. Spreading out beyond Athens, some of the most visited Greek Islands include Santorini, Crete, Corfu, Rhodes and Mykonos.

Scotland is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. Covering the northern third of the island of Great Britain, mainland Scotland has a 96-mile (154 km) border with England to the southeast and is otherwise surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the north and west, the North Sea to the northeast and the Irish Sea to the south. In addition, Scotland includes more than 790 islands; principally within the Northern Isles and the Hebrides archipelagos.

Aerial Videos: Howtown Ullswater, Cumbria, UK

Howtown is a hamlet in Cumbria, England, situated at a small harbour on the east shore of Ullswater in the Lake District. It lies within the civil parish of Martindale.

Howtown is about three and a half miles from Pooley Bridge and is best reached by water. The Ullswater ‘Steamers’ regularly stop there on their way from Glenridding at the southern end of Ullswater to Pooley Bridge at the northern end of the lake.

The name Howtown means “farmstead on the hill”. The place name is from the Old Norse word haugr, meaning “hill” or “mound”, and the Old English word tün, meaning “town”. It contains the Howtown Hotel. Howtown was founded by the How (or Howe) family.

Venice, the capital of northern Italy’s Veneto region, is built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It has no roads, just canals – including the Grand Canal thoroughfare – lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces. The central square, Piazza San Marco, contains St. Mark’s Basilica, which is tiled with Byzantine mosaics, and the Campanile bell tower offering views of the city’s red roofs.

Valletta (or Il-Belt) is the tiny capital of the Mediterranean island nation of Malta. The walled city was established in the 1500s on a peninsula by the Knights of St. John, a Roman Catholic order. It’s known for museums, palaces and grand churches. Baroque landmarks include St. John’s Co-Cathedral, whose opulent interior is home to the Caravaggio masterpiece “The Beheading of Saint John.”

Hamburg, a major port city in northern Germany, is connected to the North Sea by the Elbe River. It’s crossed by hundreds of canals, and also contains large areas of parkland. Near its core, Inner Alster lake is dotted with boats and surrounded by cafes. The city’s central Jungfernstieg boulevard connects the Neustadt (new town) with the Altstadt (old town), home to landmarks like 18th-century St. Michael’s Church.

Incredible Bali in 4K (Ultra HD) Around the World Travel Film 2020 – Episode 1 – Bali Documentary.

Bali is an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, beaches and coral reefs. The island is home to religious sites such as cliffside Uluwatu Temple. To the south, the beachside city of Kuta has lively bars, while Seminyak, Sanur and Nusa Dua are popular resort towns. The island is also known for its yoga and meditation retreats.

On September 15th 2020 I did a brief visit to Kilpisjärvi, which is the northwesternmost point of Finland in the municipality of Enontekiö. Autumn colours were at their very best and gave me a good opportunity to test the IBIS of my new Canon EOS R6 with RF 15-35mm f/2.8L. Drone footage shot with DJI Mavic 2 Pro.
