New Aerial Travel Video: ‘Morocco – North Africa’

Morocco, a North African country bordering the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, is distinguished by its Berber, Arabian and European cultural influences. Marrakesh’s medina, a mazelike medieval quarter, offers entertainment in its Djemaa el-Fna square and souks (marketplaces) selling ceramics, jewelry and metal lanterns. The capital Rabat’s Kasbah of the Udayas is a 12th-century royal fort overlooking the water.

Travel: ‘Viking Homelands – Kattegat’ – Denmark, Norway & Sweden (2020)

Kattegat is the name given to the large sea area situated between Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. Thanks to Vikings, many people assume Kattegat is a village in Norway but this is not the case. Sweden borders the Kattegat to the East, Denmark to the southwest, and Norway to the northwest. The bottom of the Kattegat leads to the baltic sea to the Skagerrak, which connects to the North Sea. There are several large cities and major ports in the Kattegat area, including Gothenburg, Aarhus, Aalborg, Halmstad and Frederikshavn. The main islands of the Kattegat are Samsø, Læsø, and Anholt – Samsø has a population of approximately 4,000 people each whereas Læsø and Anholt remain uninhabited. The name Kattegat comes from the old Dutch term for the words “Cat”, “hole” or ‘throat.”

Bran Castle is a castle in Bran, 25 kilometres southwest of Brașov. It is a national monument and landmark in Romania. Bran Castle is a large castle found in central Romania in Europe, along the border of the historic regions of Transylvania and Wallachia. Is situated on a cliff at an elevation of 762 metres (2500 feet), and is surrounded by valleys and hills and is major tourist destination in Romania. Also ‘Bran Castle’ is popularly known as ‘Dracula’s Castle’, especially by tourists, and is also known as ‘Bran Fortress’.

Aerial Videos: Howtown Ullswater, Cumbria, UK

Howtown is a hamlet in Cumbria, England, situated at a small harbour on the east shore of Ullswater in the Lake District. It lies within the civil parish of Martindale.

Howtown is about three and a half miles from Pooley Bridge and is best reached by water. The Ullswater ‘Steamers’ regularly stop there on their way from Glenridding at the southern end of Ullswater to Pooley Bridge at the northern end of the lake.

The name Howtown means “farmstead on the hill”. The place name is from the Old Norse word haugr, meaning “hill” or “mound”, and the Old English word tün, meaning “town”. It contains the Howtown Hotel. Howtown was founded by the How (or Howe) family.
