Road Trip Travel: ‘Curves – Portugal’ (2020 Video)

Filmed and Edited by: Stefan Bogner

The land that is now Portugal has been inhabited for thousands of years and its national boundaries have been defined for eight centuries. This long history is reflected in a particular culture that is the result of the mixture of the many peoples who settled here and those that the Portuguese encountered on their journeys of Discovery.

It is found in the villages and towns, in the monuments and traditions, which bring together influences that the Portuguese have applied creatively. And the omnipresent sea has also shaped our personality and taken us beyond the continent of Europe, enabling us to learn and share with the rest of the world.

Road Trips: ‘Grindelwald To Lauterbrunnen’ In Switzerland (2020 Video)

One Epic Scenic Drive From Grindelwald to Lauterbrunnen Switzerland in 4k 60p

Lauterbrunnen is situated in one of the most impressive trough valleys in the Alps, between gigantic rock faces and mountain peaks. With its 72 thundering waterfalls, secluded valleys, colourful alpine meadows and lonely mountain inns, the Lauterbrunnen Valley is one of the biggest nature conservation areas in Switzerland.

Grindelwald info: The Eiger village of Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland lies embedded in a welcoming and green hollow, surrounded by a commanding mountainscape with the Eiger north face and the Wetterhorn. This mountainscape and the numerous lookout points and activities make Grindelwald one of the most popular and cosmopolitan holiday and excursion destinations in Switzerland, and the largest ski resort in the Jungfrau region.

There are 300 km of walking trails around Grindelwald. The high-altitude walk from Grindelwald-First along the Bachalpsee to the Faulhorn mountain hotel and then on to the Schynige Platte ranks among the most beautiful hikes of the region.

An easy walk with fantastic views of the three, world-famous mountains of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau leads from the Männlichen up onto the Kleine Scheidegg.

Top Scenic Drive Videos: The “Passo Pordoi’ In Italy

Framed between Sass Pordoi and Sass Becé, Pordoi Pass marks the border between the Province of Trento and the Province of Belluno. Located 12 km away from Canazei, it features as many as 28 hairpin bends. It is one of the 4 passes of the Strada delle Dolomiti (Dolomites Road), built in the beginning of the 20th century to link Bolzano with Cortina, and encourage the development of tourism in the Ladin valleys.

In summer, it is a perfect starting point for hiking, climbing and walking. Viel dal Pan deserves a special mention: it is an ancient road used by bread traders on their business travels between Trentino and Veneto. Piz Boè can be easily reached thanks to a super modern cable car that leads to the highest peak of Sass Pordoi (2,950 meters) in just a couple of minutes. From the top you can enjoy the stunning 360 degree view of the whole Alpine Range for as far as the eye can see.

Wells/Kennebunkport

From wherever you start, plan to arrive in the beach town of Wells by lunchtime. Billowy fried clams and luscious lobster rolls await at Fisherman’s Catch, via exit 19. The Future Of Driving: Michigan To Build USA’s First “Autonomous Vehicle Corridor”

The Detroit  News (Aug 13, 2020)— Michigan is angling to build a first-in-the-nation connected and autonomous vehicle corridor in the state’s southeast corner, the latest bid to ensure the region remains the epicenter of an auto industry moving rapidly into a technology-driven future.

Local and state government officials, members of Michigan’s congressional delegation, Ford Motor Co. executives and project developer Cavnue confirmed plans Thursday for a roadway that would stretch from downtown Detroit to Ann Arbor. Along the way, it would connect to such key milestones as the American Center for Mobility in Ypsilanti, the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and would parallel parts of Interstate 94 to Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

The roadway would be publicly accessible and could feature both public transit and shared mobility options. It will be called the “Michigan Connected Corridor,” officials confirmed, sharpening a vision Ford shared when it acquired the historic train station two years ago.

From a Classic Driver online review:

Journées d'Automne 2019Enthusiasts and friends travelled from France, England, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, America and even Argentina to enjoy great food and wine (we were in the Champagne region, after all), even better locations and roads and a truly diverse selection of classic cars. Wilhelm Schmid – the ever-passionate CEO of A. Lange & Söhne, Journées d’Automne’s low-key title sponsor – drove his stunning Porsche 911S from Dresden together with his wife Yvonne. “For me, this event is the highlight of my personal motoring year,” he told me. “I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

Journées d'Automne 2019Journées d’Automne. It sounds a bit like the title of a romance novel by Rosamunde Pilcher, but it’s actually a wonderful classic car meeting that takes place every October just east of Paris.
