Travel: Photography Trip To Yosemite National Park

As one of America’s most popular national parks, Yosemite boasts some of the best views, hiking trails, and family vacation opportunities in the country. It was America’s first land dedicated to recreation and enjoyment. Located in central California, Yosemite National Park was established in 1890 and draws four million annual visitors. Almost 95 percent of the park’s 747,956 acres (roughly the size of Rhode Island) is classified as wilderness.

City Views: Photographer Simon Murphy Chronicles Govanhill Area, Glasgow

BBC Scotland (November 9, 2023) – “This is my reality of Govanhill.” Street photographer Simon Murphy has been taking pictures of the of the Govanhill Community for 20 years. We follow him as he takes the final images for first major exhibition and accompanying book publication.

Govanhill is a residential district in Glasgow, Scotland, known for the cluster of gourmet delis, trendy cafes and curry houses in the Strathbungo area, along with traditional-style pubs offering brunch menus and craft beers. Pop concerts and football matches bring crowds to the Hampden Park stadium, while the edgy Tramway theatre hosts films and plays. Queen’s Park has ponds, woods and a Victorian glasshouse.

Travel & Photography: The Isle Of Skye In Scotland

Andrew Lanxon Photography (June 10, 2023) – The Isle of Skye in Scotland is famous for being a playground for landscape photography and in this week’s video, I find out why.

I explored some of the island’s most famous landmarks, including the Old Man of Storr, Talisker Bay and Neist Point lighthouse, while venturing further to find more hidden gems like Loch Coruisk.

This video is a diary of my time on the island, aimed at being part travel documentary, part photo inspiration for those of you wanting to visit the island for yourself.

Medieval Conwy Castle has 8 huge towers, plus battlements with sea views. It’s near the resort town of Llandudno, with North Shore Beach. Other castles include 19th-century Penrhyn Castle, with Gothic stairways, and waterside Caernarfon Castle.

Travel And Photography: One-Week In Iceland (4K)

Tales of Justin (February 28, 2023) – Iceland, an island nation in the North Atlantic Ocean, lies between Europe and North America. The country is situated on a strategic location between North America and Europe, about 840 km north west of the United Kingdom and about 460 km south east of Greenland‘s coast. The closest bodies of land in Europe are the Faroe Islands (530 km).

The island lies just south of the Arctic Circle at the northern end of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (MAR), where the tectonic plate of Eurasia meets the North American Plate, causing a lot of volcanic activity in the region. Iceland’s extraordinary landscape offers hot springs and geysers, icefields and volcanoes, glaciers and wild waterfalls.

Iceland has 30 active volcanic systems, of which 13 have erupted since the settlement of island in AD 874, only about 20 percent of the country is habitable.
