After training as a metalworker, he attended the preliminary design course in Bern and graduated from the specialist class for graphics in Biel. He presented his works for the first time in 2019 at the Jungkunst exhibition in Winterthur. Hostettler lives and works in Bern.

It offers a humorous but critical perspective on our actions as a society and aims to trigger discussions that contribute to a positive development. However, the devastating effects of climate change have begun to threaten the future of a Swiss mountain village and the Yupik people, on a small island in the Bering Sea, Alaska.
The film was created in collaboration with, and exhibited at, the German Climate Museum, Klimahaus Bremerhaven, as a reminder of the common ground and concerns shared by communities worldwide in the face of climate change and humanity’s heavy dependence on nature.
Swiss Views: Hiking Into The Aareschlucht Gorge
The Aare river is fed by rainwater and melting water from the Alps, and here it already has a decent size. The river is about 30 m wide and quite fast flowing. But the gorge is much narrower, typically about 10 m wide, and as a result the water flows faster and is quite deep. And if there is heavy rainfall in the catchment area or in spring during snowmelt the river has much more water and the level inside the gorge rises substantially.

(Filmed on April 5, 2023): Gruyères is a medieval town in the Fribourg canton of Switzerland. It’s known for production of the cheese of the same name. The 13th-century Château de Gruyères is a hilltop fortress with a multimedia history show and ornate rooms.
Inside the small St. Germain Castle, the H.R. Giger Museum shows artwork relating to the film “Alien.” The Tibet Museum displays Buddhist sculptures and ritual objects of the Himalaya.
