Bike Rides: Södermalm In Stockholm, Sweden (4K)

A bike ride through Södermalm, Stockholm.

Södermalm – also called Söder – has developed into one of Stockholm’s hottest neighborhoods. The atmosphere is relaxed, creative and trendy, and the neighborhood offers a myriad of vintage, fashion and design shops.

In addition to smaller boutiques and galleries there is an abundance of places to eat and drink. Many of the places are located in style-conscious SoFo (South of Folkungagatan), Hornstull and Mariatorget. Söder also has many parks and breathtaking panoramic views of Stockholm. Two of the best viewpoints are Fjällgatan and Monteliusvägen. Here is a guide to the best views in Stockholm

There’s so much to discover in Oslo: beaches, bars and clubs, restaurants and culture in abundance. But how to choose? Here are three unmissable attractions in the Norwegian capital.

Oslo, the capital of Norway, sits on the country’s southern coast at the head of the Oslofjord. It’s known for its green spaces and museums. Many of these are on the Bygdøy Peninsula, including the waterside Norwegian Maritime Museum and the Viking Ship Museum, with Viking ships from the 9th century. The Holmenkollbakken is a ski-jumping hill with panoramic views of the fjord. It also has a ski museum.

Views: Bike Ride To Swedish Songs, Countryside Roads

Biking along country side roads, listening to songs every Swede know by heart: Sol, vind och vatten, Visa vid vindens ängar, Sjösalavals, En kväll i juni. It’s about 8 o’clock in the evening, the sun won’t set for another couple of hours. Summer is lovely on evnings like these. The music is next to cliché but so much a part of Swedish summer they where the obvious choice.

Walks: Monteliusvägen In Stockholm, Sweden (4K)

On the northern shore of Södermalm island you will find Monteliusvägen, a narrow footpath on steep cliffs. The walking path offers highly impressive views of the opposite Stockholm downtown. Monteliusvägen is considered to be one of the best and most romantic viewpoints in Stockholm.

On the other side of the Riddarfjärden and Lake Mälaren one can see the Stockholm City Hall, to the east of it the church Riddarholmskyrka, followed by the Old Town Gamla Stan. In the background you can get a glimpse of the Royal Palace.

Aerial Views: Landscapes & Waterways Of Finland (4K)

Finland is a Northern European nation bordering Sweden, Norway and Russia. Its capital, Helsinki, occupies a peninsula and surrounding islands in the Baltic Sea. Helsinki is home to the 18th-century sea fortress Suomenlinna, the fashionable Design District and diverse museums. The Northern Lights can be seen from the country’s Arctic Lapland province, a vast wilderness with national parks and ski resorts.

Cycling: Central Islands In Stockholm, Sweden (4K)

Stockholm is looking beautiful this crisp spring morning. My bike is a bit noisy but quickly takes us around these picturesque, central islands.

Skeppsholmen and Kastellholmen are two beautiful islands in the middle of Stockholm, joined together by a bridge. The easiest way to get here is just by taking a walk along Skeppsholmsbron or taking the public transport ferry from Slussen or Nybrokajen. The islands are probably best known for their museums and attractions; Moderna Musset, The Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities, and Stockholm Toy Museum are all found here. They’re also great for a seaside walk, with a panoramic view of Östermalm, Djurgården, Södermalm, and Gamla Stan. And if you want to chill out for a bit, maybe enjoy a takeaway lunch from any of the cafés or restaurants here, Sveskuddsparken or Kastellparken offer a green oasis.

Gourmet Views: 8-Course Dinner, Den Røde Cottage In Klampenborg, Denmark

Visiting Den Røde Cottage (pronounced “roll” = red) a historic building from 1844 which has been a restaurant for a few decades now. The 8 course dinner can be ordered together with 8 glasses of wine which almost doubles the price of the dinner bringing it up to 2500 DKK (335 EUR) but it is highly recommended since the wine complements each dish greatly and the wisely chosen wine selection itself gives a nice overview of the diversity of the taste of wine.

Den Røde Cottage is a Michelin Guide restaurant and is located 10 minutes outside of Copenhagen in a town called Klampenborg.
