The trees of the surrounding City Hall park are festively decorated and radiate in a sea of lights – a Viennese experience, you’ll definitely don’t want to miss!

Travel: Christmas Lights In Linz, Austria (Video)

Linz is a city in Upper Austria, straddling the Danube River midway between Salzburg and Vienna. Baroque buildings, including Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus) and the old cathedral or Alter Dom, ring Hauptplatz, the old town’s main square. The riverside Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz has a major modern art collection. Across the river, the striking Ars Electronica Center focuses on society, technology and life in the future.

Kitzbühel is a small Alpine town east of Innsbruck, in the western Austrian province of Tyrol. It’s a fashionable winter resort, known for the annual Hahnenkamm downhill race. Upscale shops and cafes line the streets of its medieval center. Museum Kitzbühel chronicles the history of the town and the area’s winter sports, with paintings by local artist Alfons Walde. Its rooftop terrace has sweeping town views.

On your way you’ll cross listed “Hohe Brücke” (literally, High Bridge), Tirol’s oldest bridge that dates back to the year 1497. The pilgrimage route to St. Georgenberg links the gorge to Tirol’s oldest place of pilgrimage, situated amidst Karwendel Alpine Park. Built on a rock above Wolfsklamm Gorge, on the remnants of a former hermitage, St. Georgenberg Monastery has an incredible cliff top setting with far reaching views across the Inn Valley, and is a real oasis of tranquillity.
