The Spanish economy is one of extremes. At one point a focus of the eurozone crisis, at another the largest contributor of growth, and more recently, suffering the greatest economic hit of any Advanced Economy in 2020. Spain’s economic problems are often confused. In the years leading up to the Great Recession it posted consistent budget surpluses. However, a huge real estate bubble was lying in wait. The question… is why? Why did Spain go from a seemingly safe level of debt to one larger than it’s economy? How was the housing bubble encouraged? And since then, has Spain’s economy ever truly recovered? Or in what ways?

Portugal is one of the world’s most beautiful countries! From boating on the Algarve Coast to exploring the castles of Sintra, Portugal offers so much variety to experience and witness!

Portugal is a southern European country on the Iberian Peninsula, bordering Spain. Its location on the Atlantic Ocean has influenced many aspects of its culture: salt cod and grilled sardines are national dishes, the Algarve’s beaches are a major destination and much of the nation’s architecture dates to the 1500s–1800s, when Portugal had a powerful maritime empire.

Lisbon is Portugal’s hilly, coastal capital city. From imposing São Jorge Castle, the view encompasses the old city’s pastel-colored buildings, Tagus Estuary and Ponte 25 de Abril suspension bridge. Nearby, the National Azulejo Museum displays 5 centuries of decorative ceramic tiles. Just outside Lisbon is a string of Atlantic beaches, from Cascais to Estoril.

Spain is one of my all time favorite countries! From cliff jumping in Ibiza to hiking the mountains of Picos de Europa, Spain offers so much variety to experience and explore!

Architectural Tours: ‘Rio House’ In Gondomar, North Portugal (Video)

The Porto-based architecture studio Paulo Merlini Architects led by Paulo Merlini and André Santos Silva has recently completed Rio House, remodeling of an old farmhouse located in Gondomar, Portugal.

Gondomar is a municipality located in the east of Portugal’s Porto Metropolitan Area and 7 km from central Porto.

An audiovisual poem, a fantastic story towards a dream place. We try to create an Atmosphere of Orange-Red-Yellow tones, thus giving a different image and turning the places into magic. Nature is shown in another way, one more reason to be conserved and pampered, since it is inhabited by a multitude of species, including “the slug”,

Navarra (Navarre) is a geographically diverse region in northern Spain. A medieval Basque kingdom, it was annexed by Castile in the 16th century. Dotted with remote villages, its capital and largest city is Pamplona, famous for its annual running of the bulls. Pamplona has 16th-century fortifications, the Gothic Santa María la Real Cathedral and the Museo de Navarra, with archaeological and art collections.

Barcelona, the cosmopolitan capital of Spain’s Catalonia region, is known for its art and architecture. The fantastical Sagrada Família church and other modernist landmarks designed by Antoni Gaudí dot the city. Museu Picasso and Fundació Joan Miró feature modern art by their namesakes. City history museum MUHBA, includes several Roman archaeological sites.

More than 6 years have passed since I published “Into the Night”. Since then I have had the opportunity to capture hundreds of landscapes, both urban and natural, using the timelapse technique.

With “Temps” I wanted to show some of these urban landscapes of the city of Barcelona, ​​to represent through images, the passage of time and the ephemeral and fragile of human life.

Portugal Lagos Algarve is an incredible region displaying breathtaking landscapes. We were based in Lagos Portugal, which is a very pleasant coastal city and very convenient to travel all the Algarve.

Lagos is a town in southern Portugal’s Algarve region. It’s known for its walled old town, cliffs and Atlantic beaches. Steep wooden steps lead to the sandy cove of Praia do Camilo. The nearby cliffs of Ponta de Piedade offer sweeping headland views and a lighthouse. Igreja de Santo António, an ornate 18th-century church, sits across from the Castelo dos Governadores, a castle with a baroque facade and watchtowers. 

Walking Tours: ‘Seville’ In Andalusia, Southern Spain

Seville is the capital of southern Spain’s Andalusia region. It’s famous for flamenco dancing, particularly in its Triana neighborhood. Major landmarks include the ornate Alcázar castle complex, built during the Moorish Almohad dynasty, and the 18th-century Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza bullring. The Gothic Seville Cathedral is the site of Christopher Columbus’s tomb and a minaret turned bell tower, the Giralda.
