French Views: Auvergne’s Volcanic Ensemble (Video)

Located in central #France, the Regional Natural Park of the #Auvergne, with its 400,000 hectares, is the largest volcanic ensemble in Europe. In July 2018, #UNESCO listed the Chaîne des Puys mountains range as a world heritage site. Since then, a whole population has been striving to preserve this priceless heritage. We meet the park wardens studying the minute creatures of these open spaces and the craftsmen producing enamelled lava from the dormant volcanoes.

Auvergne is a historical region in central France, and is now part of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The mostly rural, mountainous area is popular for hiking and skiing, with vast forests and dormant volcanoes such as Puy de Dôme. An abundance of natural hot springs has spawned spa towns such as Vichy, known for its mineral water. Tilt-Shift Travel: Moldova -Eastern Europe (Video)

Moldova is supposedly the least visited country in Europe and the second poorest country in Europe. While this might not sound very inviting to most people, I found this country to become my favorite destination on my pre-pandemic East Europe trip. The people are lovely, landscapes are beautiful, there is lots of interesting history and architecture and i had the best Pelmeni and Borscht ever there…

Moldova is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe. It is bordered by Romania to the west and Ukraine to the north, east, and south. This film was shot in Țipova, Orhei Vechi, Soroca, Bendery Fortress in Transnistria (did not get enough footage for a separate Transnistria episode, so these clips ended up here:) and the capital city Chișinău.

Spring Walks: ‘Central Park – New York City’ (4K)

Arguably one of the most famous parks in the world, Central Park is a manmade wonder.  Not only is it the first public park built in America, but it is also one of the most frequently visited, with over 25 million guests per year.

Set in the middle of bustling Manhattan, its grounds serve as a safe haven, not only for athletes, daydreamers, musicians, and strollers, but also for teems of migratory birds each year.  One can spend an entire peaceful day roaming its grounds, gazing upon nearly 50 fountains, monuments, and sculptures or admiring its 36 bridges and arches.

With recreational facilities abounding, the more energetic won’t have a problem finding a spot to skate, pedal, row, dribble, or climb to his or her heart’s delight.  Although Central Park has 21 official playgrounds, we like to think of it as one gigantic jungle gym in its peak season.

Kauai is an island in the Central Pacific, part of the Hawaiian archipelago. It’s nicknamed “the Garden Isle” thanks to the tropical rainforest covering much of its surface. The dramatic cliffs and pinnacles of its Na Pali Coast have served as a backdrop for major Hollywood films, while 10-mile-long Waimea Canyon and the Nounou Trails traversing the Sleeping Giant mountain ridge are hiking destinations.
