Spain’s turbulent history has resulted in a multitude of hilltop fortresses ranging from extravagant fairytale-like palatial palaces to oppressive military fortresses and, of course, the architectural delights of the Moorish Alcazars.
With roughly 2,500 castles to explore, whether they stand in near-perfect preservation or are now just atmospheric ruins, here are some of the best castles in Spain that you must see.

Shooting auroras above the majestic Mount Otertinden has been on my bucket list for years now, and on October 20th and 21st my dreams came true. Orionids meteor shower was peaking at that time, so there were quite a few shooting stars as well.

I’ve never spent two years making a Monsoon film before, so this was a first. Part of it was wanting to put out the best possible film I could, but a good chunk of it was the fact our recent summer storm seasons have been subpar at best, with 2020 the worst I can remember. 2019 wasn’t horrible, but there was about zero dust storms, with only a single haboob clip to salvage from that summer, so I wanted to wait until I had something more to add to it.
Luckily for me, August 16th, 2020 happened and we scored a fantastic haboob chase from Casa Grande to Gila Bend along Interstate 8. It was what I had been hoping and praying for to complete this film. That was the only legit haboob day of the past two years and I’m glad I was there for it! Not only for this film, but for the BBC and one of their upcoming projects I’m proud to be a part of!
A lot was left on the cutting room floor, in fact, it might be an entire other film, but it was important to me to include only the best, most unique stuff I saw the last two years, plus keep it under 9 minutes long! Finding music was a struggle, so I decided to work once again with Péter Nánási and have a custom score created for Monsoon 6. And boy, he knows me well and hit it out of the park! Thank you sir!
I hope you enjoy this film! It’s the result of 30,000+ miles, hundreds of thousands of time-lapse frames captured and 60+ days chasing. Some highlights include epic downbursts, gorgeous light, mountains, desert, a stunning supercell and yes, rainbows. Photographed all across the great state of Arizona, where I’ve lived my entire life.

Forest Light – a timelapse journey, one year through the Black Forest. Wide landscapes, refreshing waterfalls and magical forest light. Last year I was able to spend many hours in the Black Forest to capture the most beautiful moods of the four seasons. Around 80,000 individual pictures were taken during this time.
The Black Forest is a mountainous region in southwest Germany, bordering France. Known for its dense, evergreen forests and picturesque villages, it is often associated with the Brothers Grimm fairy tales. It’s renowned for its spas and the cuckoo clocks produced in the region since the 1700s. The region’s largest town, Freiburg, is filled with Gothic buildings and surrounded by vineyards.

During summertime, the sun never sets above the arctic circle. This time-lapse video aims to show the special light that appears during the midnight hours when the sun nearly touches the horizon. All in glorious 8K resolution.

It is common belief that September is too early to view the Northern Lights within the Arctic circle. Truthfully, it is one of the best times to see them, especially if you don’t like the cold. September is my favorite month of the year for aurora, as you have a bit of both cold and warm worlds.
The still mild temperatures enable you to get the precious reflection of the auroral dance in the still water of lakes and fjords. All hikes are also very accessible as the snow hasn’t fallen in big and dangerous quantities yet. As a conclusion, you can literally enjoy the northern lights from anywhere. It opens up so many more opportunities than at the heart of the winter.
This year, we are just coming out of solar minimum. And it shows! The month of September alone has been extremely productive, with both coronal hole High Speed Streams and CMEs (stealthy). More precisely, the week of September 24th – October 1st has delivered insane nightly shows back to back!
I wanted to showcase these beautiful displays that I was able to capture in Northern Norway (Senja and Troms area), as the leaves were starting to turn into golden and orange hues. I will publish a more general ‘Fall-themed’ movie in the near future. Stay tuned!
All was shot with the Sony a7s, a7rII and 2 Canon 6D astromodified, a variety of bright lenses ranging from 14mm to 50mm. For motion control I used the Syrp 3-axis Genie I system and also the Vixen Polarie. All post production was made in Lr with the special timelapse plus plugin, Sequence for mac, TLDF, and final production was made in FCPX. A time-lapse film about the city of Rotterdam starring the city’s most famous icon; the Euromast.
Rotterdam is a major port city in the Dutch province of South Holland. The Maritime Museum’s vintage ships and exhibits trace the city’s seafaring history. The 17th-century Delfshaven neighborhood is home to canalside shopping and Pilgrim Fathers Church, where pilgrims worshiped before sailing to America. After being almost completely reconstructed following WWII, the city is now known for bold, modern architecture.

After driving all night to meet my awesome friend, Elisa, we drove to Skye and after a night in Camasunary Bay had an epic roadtrip around Scotland. I watched my drone battery fall out and into a Loch, losing loads of amazing footage, so this little film is made from all the Timelapse footage I took and an ode to my Phantom 4 that sleeps with the fishes now.

In Lima everything is in endless movement, and even the past is constantly being rediscovered.
Peru is a country in South America that’s home to a section of Amazon rainforest and Machu Picchu, an ancient Incan city high in the Andes mountains. The region around Machu Picchu, including the Sacred Valley, Inca Trail and colonial city of Cusco, is rich in archaeological sites. On Peru’s arid Pacific coast is Lima, the capital, with a preserved colonial center and important collections of pre-Columbian art.
