Aerial Views: Tropea In Southwestern Italy (4K)

Tropea is a small town on the east coast of Calabria, in southern Italy. It’s known for its clifftop historic center, beaches and prized red onions. Built on a former Byzantine cemetery, the 12th-century cathedral has marble sarcophagi and a painting of the Madonna of Romania, the town’s protector. Nearby is a viewpoint over the hills. The centuries-old Santa Maria dell’Isola Church is on a rock overlooking the sea.

Walking Tour: Looe in Cornwall, England (4K)

Looe is a coastal town and civil parish in south-east Cornwall, England, with a population of 5,280 at the 2011 census. Looe is 20 miles west of Plymouth and seven miles south of Liskeard, divided in two by the River Looe, East Looe and West Looe being connected by a bridge. 

We start our tour in East Looe in front of the beach and explore the harbour with it’s brightly coloured fishing boats. We then explore the winding streets of the charming town centre, lined with welcoming pubs, restaurants and Cornish pasty shops, before heading over the bridge to West Looe and a fantastic view across the river and out to sea. With so many people wondering where to holiday in the UK this year, you can see why Cornwall England continues to rank at the top.

Sea horses are amazing animals because of many of their strange features like male pregnancy but also due to their beautifully unique body shape. However, this may be the reason why seahorses are famous but it actually makes them very bad swimmers so why did they evolve to have this unique body shape?

A seahorse is any of 46 species of small marine fish in the genus Hippocampus. “Hippocampus” comes from the Ancient Greek hippókampos, itself from híppos meaning “horse” and kámpos meaning “sea monster”.

Now, Mika Peck and his team at the University of Sussex are monitoring kelp off the south coast of the UK, to see if it can recover from the damage done to it by trawling and help improve biodiversity in the area.
