New Timelapse Videos: “New Zealand Total Isolation” In 4K (Apr 2020)

Filmed and Edited by: Bevan Percival

Watch in 4K, sound on. New Zealand Total Isolation is my latest time lapse show reel of the beautiful New Zealand wilderness landscapes. All sequences shot as full ‘holy grail’ time lapse scenes – that is full sequences from day through night back to day, requiring 3000 to 5000 frames each sequence.

While we are all in lock down isolation here due to the current pandemic situation we can only reminisce at present what it’s like to be out in the wilderness. If your like me and can’t stand being ‘caged up’ maybe watching this show reel unfold in front of your eyes will help ease your soul? I hope so.

So many times over the course of shooting these challenging all night scenes my body, soul, mind and gear were beaten up by the elements and bad luck or other unknown forces, however there is just something about our earth, our land and the time spent in it that just brings you back time and time again. I always seem to have unfinished business, chasing the elusive and beautiful landscapes of Aotearoa New Zealand, and I can’t wait to get back out there, soon, it’s still there, waiting.

Timelapse Travel Videos: “Doha, Qatar” On The Persian Gulf (March 2020)

Filmed and Edited by: Kirill Neiezhmakov

Picture an impressive skyline with buildings that are so innovative they verge on being works of art, and a waterfront promenade that effortlessly houses the traditional alongside the ultra-modern.

For centuries, Doha was a fishing village known for its pearl trade. The country’s pearl divers were famed for their skill in finding the largest and most perfectly formed pearls, and the original village (which was known as Al Bidda) was also a busy fishing port for generations. With the wealth gained from the oil trade in the 20th century, Doha became one of the key commercial centres for the entire region. Today, it is the economic and metropolitan centre of the State of Qatar and an epicentre for business and finance in the Middle East.

Sites of interest include Clock Tower Square, the souk (marketplace), and Government House (1969), built on reclaimed waterfront land. Further cultural developments include the establishment of a world-class Museum of Islamic Art (2008; designed by I.M. Pei) on an island offshore. Doha International Airport is located just southeast of the city.

This video is the result of countless adventures in the mountains, long and hard hikes and early alarms. Hope you enjoy!

Nature Video: “Jutland II – Breath Of The Seasons” In Denmark By Jonas Høholt

Filmed and Edited by: Jonas Høholt

‘Breath of the Seasons’ has been my personal project from early 2017 until early 2020.
Living around the Jutland peninsula in Denmark my entire life, what inspired me to make this film was the very difference between winter, spring, summer and autumn in the already diverse Jutlandic landscapes – and the visually beautiful story this has.
To show this cycle in nature through timelapse photography has been a mammoth task and a huge completion for me personally. It has driven me through all spectres emotionally; exhaustion, excitement, despair, joy and everything in between.

The countless hours spent on locations made me see and feel the difference of all four
seasons. It opened my eyes to how similar nature actually is to humans; As nature takes a single breath all four seasons play before our eyes until she’s ready for the next breath and it all starts over again. Energy is everywhere and nothing is at a standstill.

First little test shoot with my new Panasonic S1H. Shot in V-Log in 4k & some cropped 6k. Features both S1H & A7S night time lapse footage as I wanted to see how the S1H held up to my A7S for time lapse and specifically astrophotography. I shot this in January though so no Milky Way, just stars and clouds.

Timelapse Travel Videos: “Bali – Island Of Gods” By Martien Janssen (2020)

https://vimeo.com/390121095

Filmed and Edited by: Martien Janssen

Bali ‘Island of Gods’ is a timelapse movie of one of my favorite islands. As cliché as Bali might sound (everyone’s visiting Bali these days) it is an island like no other, with gorgeous nature and wonderful landscape, kind people, great food and an expression of their culture unlike any other place. Bali is many things and your trip is what you make of it. Staying in the south at the beaches is totally different from staying at Ubud, or the east or the north. My advice, stay somewhere quiet, get a nice room, rent a motorbike and explore it yourself.

Bali Island of Gods Timelapse Travel Video by Martien Janssen February 8 2020

Even though I’ve visited many great places, Bali remains one of my favorites. I spend 2 months here working a movie project, using my different cameras and techniques. I had such cool plans for it. I had a new DJI Osmo with me, my drone. I planned to shoot a lot in slow motion, so I could manipulate time in my movie. Two months I spent shooting mornings till nights, without really checking my footage on the laptop enough.

Top New Timelapse Videos: “Reverent” – A Spectacular Fusion Of Storm Film & Music By Mike Olbinski (4K)

Filmed and Edited by: Mike Olbinski

Song by: Bullet & Cass (“The Way You Do”)

A couple years ago I made a black and white time-lapse film just for fun, and now here we are with the third installment in the series. It’s a way to play around in the winter months with something new and different, get creative and also help pass the time until spring returns!

Reverent Black and White Weather and Storm Timelapse video by Mike Olbinski January 21 2020

I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with this one, and couldn’t even find the perfect song for it, until the duo Bullet & Cass emailed me about wanting to use my footage for their upcoming debut single. I get a lot of those kinds of emails, so I didn’t think much of it…until I clicked on the preview links for their two tracks…and wow, I was blown away by how much I loved “The Way You Do.” A few seconds into the song, I was immediately laying down tracks to it in my head. I listened all the way to the end and knew I had found my song. We did a straight up trade…footage for the track, and the editing began in earnest.

After I finished editing back in November, I needed a title. It took me weeks. The song has a sort of folksy haunting old west vibe to it (at least to me) and I needed the perfect name to go along with it. I finally pulled up a list of old west terms and when I stumbled across Reverent…I knew it was the one. Not only did it sound and feel right, but it actually is how I feel standing out there a lot. These storms are powerful and deadly, and sometimes you are just staring out at them with this deep respect and admiration for what you are witnesses. Or perhaps, in my case, for the one who created it.

I hope you enjoy this film as much as I do. All footage in it is from 2019, with some unseen monsoon clips in there as well. Definitely felt like it was taking a risk on the song choice itself, especially as lyrics aren’t my normal deal. But I love it, love it, love it and I hope you do too! And if you do, please visit the links up top and buy the single and check out their website!
