Campo Imperatore is a mountain grassland or alpine meadow formed by a high basin shaped plateau located above Gran Sasso massif, the largest plateau of Apennine ridge. Known as “Little Tibet”, it is located in Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga National Park, near L’Aquila, Abruzzo, Italy.

The Beskydy Mountains are also known as the Beskid Mountain or Beskids for short. This is a massive mountain range that covers 600 km in length and crosses from Poland to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and the Ukraine. Featuring forests, wildlife, and river valleys, these collection of peaks offer a pristine ecosystem away from the big city. There are a number of peaks to the mountain but there’s none more famous than it’s peak, Lysá Hora.
This cover image from the Asturian viewpoint of Angrilu is the mark of a trip that includes three years of photographs in Asturias in collaboration with the Oviedo photographer David Álvarez Velicia. Touring the coasts of Ribadesella, Llanes, Luarca, the Picos de Europa and the national parks, the most hidden viewpoints, the strangest rock formations of the Cantabrian coast, a work has been born that shows the beauty of the landscapes of Asturias. The timelapse scenes show an augmented reality with which the passing of time is perceived in a few seconds and Asturias is a unique place to perform this technique.
The Principality of Asturias, a region of northwest Spain, is known for its rugged coast, mountains, religious sites and medieval architecture. Regional capital Oviedo’s San Salvador Cathedral houses religious relic the Shroud of Oviedo. Nearby on Mt. Naranco stands the 9th-century churches of San Miguel de Lillo and Santa María del Naranco, the latter originally built as a palace for King Ramiro I of Asturias.

Venice – It’s hard not to fall in love with the romantic set up of Venice. Everywhere you look is a picture opportunity worthy of a postcard. The best way to see the city is to explore it by gondola on its gorgeous canals. Be sure to check out the bustling city hub at the Piazza San Marco and the Basilica of St. Mark.

You will be missing out if you do not make time to see the fantastic Colosseum, the biggest amphitheater of the ancient Roman Empire. As you look at its vastness, you can almost hear the loud roar of the audience as they watch the greatest gladiators fight. Additionally, Rome is also filled with tons of attractions such as churches, fountains, and museums. It is truly a place you should immerse yourself in at least once in your life.
Verona – If you’re a fan of Romeo and Juliet, you’ve probably heard about the town of Verona. Aside from being the setting to arguably the most popular love story of all time, Verona has a variety of medieval structures. Don’t forget to see Casa di Giulietta or Juliet’s House and leave a love note on its courtyard walls. Siena Unlike other major cities in Italy, this charismatic city is not packed with thousands of tourists. Siena boasts some of the most beautiful old structures in the country and is popular for its bareback horse races. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can climb up the civic palace to see the view of the entire town.
Milan – No visit to Italy is complete without walking along the streets of Milan. If you love to shop, this fashion center is the place to be. Here, you can live like royalty as you shop till you drop and immerse yourself in its vibrant art and culinary scene.

Since I started filming a few years ago, I always do 1 passion project every year. One project without assignment, without boundaries. This year I decided to make my trip to North-Italy my own project. Without script and without a story I started filming. Just enjoying the beautiful surroundings, immersing myself in nature and dreaming away…

I’ve never spent two years making a Monsoon film before, so this was a first. Part of it was wanting to put out the best possible film I could, but a good chunk of it was the fact our recent summer storm seasons have been subpar at best, with 2020 the worst I can remember. 2019 wasn’t horrible, but there was about zero dust storms, with only a single haboob clip to salvage from that summer, so I wanted to wait until I had something more to add to it.
Luckily for me, August 16th, 2020 happened and we scored a fantastic haboob chase from Casa Grande to Gila Bend along Interstate 8. It was what I had been hoping and praying for to complete this film. That was the only legit haboob day of the past two years and I’m glad I was there for it! Not only for this film, but for the BBC and one of their upcoming projects I’m proud to be a part of!
A lot was left on the cutting room floor, in fact, it might be an entire other film, but it was important to me to include only the best, most unique stuff I saw the last two years, plus keep it under 9 minutes long! Finding music was a struggle, so I decided to work once again with Péter Nánási and have a custom score created for Monsoon 6. And boy, he knows me well and hit it out of the park! Thank you sir!
I hope you enjoy this film! It’s the result of 30,000+ miles, hundreds of thousands of time-lapse frames captured and 60+ days chasing. Some highlights include epic downbursts, gorgeous light, mountains, desert, a stunning supercell and yes, rainbows. Photographed all across the great state of Arizona, where I’ve lived my entire life.
