The Hawaiian Islands are an archipelago of eight major islands, several atolls, numerous smaller islets, and seamounts in the North Pacific Ocean, extending some 1,500 miles from the island of Hawaiʻi in the south to northernmost Kure Atoll.

Ko Tao is an island in Thailand. Restaurants, nightspots and dive shops cluster in Mae Haad Beach and near Sai Ri Beach. Villas dot palm-fringed beaches such as Chalok Baan Kao Bay, on the south coast. In the northwest, Koh Nang Yuan is a group of islets with hilltop views. Ko Tao is known for its tropical coral reefs, with species including whale sharks and rays. Hawksbill and green turtles gather here to breed.
Koh Tao – “island of turtles”, the smallest (of the “inhabited”) island of the archipelago. It is a favorite destination for beginners and experienced divers in this part of the world.
Luzon sits at the northern end of the Philippines, and is the country’s largest and most populous island. It’s known for its mountains, beaches and coral reefs, and is home to Manila, the national capital. Set on a deep bay with famed sunsets, the city has many Spanish-colonial landmarks, national memorials and monuments, a centuries-old Chinatown and a diversity of museums.

The Amalfi Coast is a 50-kilometer stretch of coastline along the southern edge of Italy’s Sorrentine Peninsula, in the Campania region. It’s a popular holiday destination, with sheer cliffs and a rugged shoreline dotted with small beaches and pastel-colored fishing villages. The coastal road between the port city of Salerno and clifftop Sorrento winds past grand villas, terraced vineyards and cliffside lemon groves.
Baneshwor is the largest residential area of Kathmandu, Nepal. The area is composed of New-, Mid-, and Old-Baneshwor, Baneshwor Height, Minbhawan, Shankhamul, Bhimsengola and Thapa Gaun. Major landmarks of Baneshwor include the current meeting place of the Federal Parliament of Nepal, the International Convention Centre. Maitighar Mandala is located at the southern border of the neighborhood. the people in this area are employed in the private business or are in the corporate sectors.
Baneshwor is a local financial and educational hub hosting several national banks and institutions.
Budapest, Hungary’s capital, is bisected by the River Danube. Its 19th-century Chain Bridge connects the hilly Buda district with flat Pest. A funicular runs up Castle Hill to Buda’s Old Town, where the Budapest History Museum traces city life from Roman times onward. Trinity Square is home to 13th-century Matthias Church and the turrets of the Fishermen’s Bastion, which offer sweeping views.

The Azores, an autonomous region of Portugal, are an archipelago in the mid-Atlantic. The islands are characterized by dramatic landscapes, fishing villages, green pastures and hedgerows of blue hydrangeas. São Miguel, the largest, has lake-filled calderas and the Gorreana Tea Plantation. Pico is home to the 2,351m Mt. Pico and vineyards sheltered by boulders.
Madeira, an autonomous region of Portugal, is an archipelago comprising 4 islands off the northwest coast of Africa. It is known for its namesake wine and warm, subtropical climate. The main island of Madeira is volcanic, green and rugged, with high cliffs, pebbly beaches and settlements on deltas of the Fajã River. Capital Funchal has botanic gardens and is known for its harbor and a large New Year’s fireworks show.
Madrid – Madrid is by far the largest city in Spain with a population of over 3.3 million. While the size of the place might seem intimidating to some, there is a vast amount to see in this fine European capital. Getting around is also fairly straightforward thanks to the city having a superb metro system. Whether you’re looking for an unforgettable party holiday or a cultural visit to some of Spain’s best known landmarks, Madrid has everything to offer. Among the many sites to see in Madrid is the enormous central square (Plaza Mayor), the stunning Royal Palace, the Puerta de Alcala and the Plaza de Cibeles.
Barcelona – Barcelona is Spain’s second-largest city with a population of about two million. It is the capital of the region of Catalonia and you’ll hear the Catalan language being spoken here considerably more often than you’ll hear Spanish. The city offers plenty of sightseeing opportunities and a legendary nightlife scene. Barcelona was first established as a Roman town about 2,000 years ago. Sightseeing in Barcelona largely revolves around the Old Town, known locally as “Cuitat Vella.” The area is also home to the Barri Gotic, the city’s Gothic Quarter. One of Spain’s most famous landmarks, La Sagrada Familia is also located in Barcelona. One of the most stunning structures in the world, the church has been under construction since 1882 and is only now nearing completion.
Cadiz – For lovers of history, Cadiz certainly won’t disappoint. Founded by the Phoenicians as early as 1104BC, it is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the Iberian Peninsula. The city is located in the very south of Spain. It has a population of only 130,000 making it an easy place to explore on foot. Cadiz boasts a vast number of historical landmarks including the central Plaza de Mina, the Plaza de San Antonio, Cadiz Cathedral, the Roman theatre, the City Walls and the Fortress of Candelaria. Cadiz is also home to some of Spain’s best beaches, especially the Playa de la Caleta. Another popular beach is the Playa de la Victoria, a three kilometer stretch of sand near the city.
Morocco, a North African country bordering the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, is distinguished by its Berber, Arabian and European cultural influences. Marrakesh’s medina, a mazelike medieval quarter, offers entertainment in its Djemaa el-Fna square and souks (marketplaces) selling ceramics, jewelry and metal lanterns. The capital Rabat’s Kasbah of the Udayas is a 12th-century royal fort overlooking the water.
Venice, the capital of northern Italy’s Veneto region, is built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It has no roads, just canals – including the Grand Canal thoroughfare – lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces. The central square, Piazza San Marco, contains St. Mark’s Basilica, which is tiled with Byzantine mosaics, and the Campanile bell tower offering views of the city’s red roofs.
