Mount Cook National Park, or Aoraki, is a mountain in the New Zealand Southern Alps, the highest point in New Zealand, located in the western part of the South Island near the coast. This saddle-shaped, steep-sided, crystalline mountain is covered with snow and glaciers.

Curacao Views: Iguanas At Christoffel National Park
We leave you this Sunday at Curacao’s Christoffel National Park, where it’s the day of the iguanas. Videographer: Mauricio Handler.
Curaçao, island in the Caribbean Sea and a country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It is situated some 37 miles (60 km) north of the coast of Venezuela. Although physiographically part of the South American continental shelf, Curaçao and neighbouring islands off the northern coast of South America are usually considered to constitute the southwestern arc of the Lesser Antilles. The capital is Willemstad.
Christoffelpark is the largest national park of Curacao and a must see for everyone. The park has a rich variety of local flora and fauna. Nature lovers will find the park teeming with local birds and plants, including species, which are not easily seen elsewhere on the island. For example wild orchids, the Palabrua, the rare native barn owl. The Curacao White Tailed deer (of which there are only about 250 left) and much more.
Winter Views: Denali National Park, Alaska (4K)
This film was shot near Anchorage, Alaska in December 2021.
December 2021 was the snowiest December on record in the nearby Denali National Park, bringing over 6ft of snow and unusually freezing temperatures. During the filming, temperature repeatedly dropped below -20F (-30C). In addition to the challenging weather conditions, December days are the shortest in the year. In Anchorage, the sun rises after 10 AM and sets around 3 PM, while barely rising above the lofty peaks on the horizon.
Coastal Views: Calanques National Park In France
Between the southern French cities of Marseille and La Ciotat lies a magnificent coastline with 40 kilometres of cliffs and coves. The landscapes of the Calanques National Park are breathtaking. To safeguard this fragile natural heritage and rescue amateur mountaineers who get into difficulty, wardens and firefighters are constantly on a war footing. FRANCE 24 went to meet them.

Sequoia National Park is an American national park in the southern Sierra Nevada east of Visalia, California. The park was established on September 25, 1890, to protect 404,064 acres of forested mountainous terrain. Encompassing a vertical relief of nearly 13,000 feet (4,000 m), the park contains the highest point in the contiguous United States, Mount Whitney, at 14,505 feet (4,421 m) above sea level. The park is south of, and contiguous with, Kings Canyon National Park; both parks are administered by the National Park Service together as the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. UNESCO designated the areas as Sequoia-Kings Canyon Biosphere Reserve in 1976.[3]
The park is notable for its giant sequoia trees, including the General Sherman tree, the largest tree on Earth by volume. The General Sherman tree grows in the Giant Forest, which contains five of the ten largest trees in the world. The Giant Forest is connected by the Generals Highway to Kings Canyon National Park’s General Grant Grove, home of the General Grant tree among other giant sequoias.

Chenzhou, Mount Mangshan National Park, located in Yizhang County, Chenzhou, has the most intact subtropical primeval second growth forest and evergreen broad-leave forest in the world.
It covers 6,000 hectares, and contains both the northern and the southern plants. It has more than 300 varieties of animals. The yellow-breasted pheasant, sika deer, golden cat, and python are first-class state protected species. Mount Mangshan National Park is a complete forest museum with abundant rainfall and rich natural resources.
The Yao live nearby. Their home feature exquisite roofs and poling, finished wood windows, and picture plaques framing the main gates. Taken together these demonstrate unique primitive simplicity and elegance.
The King Pan Festival originated from the Singing Party that falls on October 16 of the lunar calendar (Usually the end of November on the Gregorian calendar), which is a grand Yao singing and dancing festival to worship their ancestors and celebrate the bumper harvest. Nowadays, the King Pan Festival has developed into an entertaining festival to celebrate the harvest, and is also an opportunity for young boys and girls to look for the one they might fall in love with.

Banff National Park is Canada’s oldest national park, established in 1885. Located in Alberta’s Rocky Mountains, 110–180 kilometres west of Calgary, Banff encompasses 6,641 square kilometres of mountainous terrain, with many glaciers and ice fields, dense coniferous forest, and alpine landscapes.
