Philippines Travel: A Canoe Ride On Litik Maasin River

Wind Walk Travel Videos ʬ (November 2, 2023) – Relaxing banca (canoe) ride at Litik Maasin Enchanted River in Dapa Siargao Island, Philippines. This scenic ride cruises on a clear, turquoise-colored water surrounded by jungle of coconut trees and lush vegetations.

The ‘bent coconut tree’ used to be a popular attraction at Maasin River until it came to an end in 2023. Back then, visitors can do a tarzan-like swing on a rope attached on the trunk of the tree.

The trip to Maasin River is part of the land tour offered by local operators which includes trips to Sugba Lagoon, Magpupungko Rocks Pools and Mountain View.

Sweden Travel: Biking & Canoeing On Lake Vänern

The Times and The Sunday Times (July 31, 2023) – Simon Parker saddles up for midnight sun, pine trees and cinnamon buns along a challenging 400-mile gravel bike route in West Sweden.

Lake Vänern is the largest lake in Sweden, the largest lake in the European Union and the third-largest lake in Europe after Ladoga and Onega in Russia.

In February 2022, the British Isles were hit by three consecutive storms, some of the strongest seen in decades. In the days before the storms arrived, we decided to change the plan for our canoeing expedition whilst we were already on our way to Scotland. Instead of paddling the exposed lochs along the west coast, we opted for a more sheltered location. A glen tucked away right in the heart of the highlands. This film showcases the highlights of our journey.

She researches Quebec’s extensive freshwater systems, collecting samples from streams, rivers and lakes to assess ecosystem health, with the aim of protecting these precious resources. “Into Water: Canada” is the third stop on an around the world 360 tour that documents the work of female Explorers who’ve dedicated their careers to water related issues.
