Oculus Films (February 24, 2023) – Gwadar, town and seaport, southwestern Balochistan province, southwestern Pakistan. Located on the sandy Nuh headland that juts southward into the Arabian Sea, the town is an important fishing (sardines and sharks) and trade centre.
The main industrial concern is a fish-processing factory; salt is obtained by the evaporation of seawater. Gwadar became part of the sultanate of Muscat and Oman in 1797, and it was not until 1958 that the town and adjoining hinterland were given up by Oman to Pakistan.

Brompton Traveler – Bikepacking with Gianni Filippinifrom Istanbul to Antalya in Turkey:
Istanbul is a major city in Turkey that straddles Europe and Asia across the Bosphorus Strait. Its Old City reflects cultural influences of the many empires that once ruled here. In the Sultanahmet district, the open-air, Roman-era Hippodrome was for centuries the site of chariot races, and Egyptian obelisks also remain. The iconic Byzantine Hagia Sophia features a soaring 6th-century dome and rare Christian mosaics.
Antalya is a Turkish resort city with a yacht-filled Old Harbor and beaches flanked by large hotels. It’s a gateway to Turkey’s southern Mediterranean region, known as the Turquoise Coast for its blue waters. Remnants remain from Antalya’s time as a major Roman port. These include Hadrian’s Gate, built to honor the Roman emperor’s visit in 130 A.D and 2nd-century Hidirlik Tower, with harbor views.
Bukhara is an ancient city in the central Asian country of Uzbekistan. It was a prominent stop on the Silk Road trade route between the East and the West, and a major medieval center for Islamic theology and culture. It still contains hundreds of well-preserved mosques, madrassas, bazaars and caravanserais, dating largely from the 9th to the 17th centuries.
The Annapurna Sanctuary is a high glacial basin lying 40 km directly north of Pokhara. This oval-shaped plateau sits at an altitude of over 4000 metres, and is surrounded by a ring of mountains, the Annapurna range, most of which are over 7000 metres.
Annapurna is a mountain situated in the Annapurna mountain range of Gandaki Province, north-central Nepal. It is the tenth highest mountain in the world at 8,091 metres above sea level and is well known for the difficulty and danger involved in its ascent.
Dinnertime is a gamble for Pallas’s cats, and this one’s hangry. Relative to their body size, they have the shortest legs of any cat, which makes attacking prey in a timely fashion somewhat tricky…
The Pallas’s cat, also known as the manul, is a small wild cat with long and dense light grey fur. Its rounded ears are set low on the sides of the head. Its head-and-body length ranges from 46 to 65 cm with a 21 to 31 cm long bushy tail.
A journey to Yumbu Lhakhang, the first palace of Tibet. It was built before the Potala Palace for Nyatri Tsenpo, the first king of Tibet, in the 2nd century at the top of the Tashi Ciri hill in Tsedang. Tsedang, 149 kilometers from Lhasa city, is the cradle of Tibetan civilization.
The first palace, the first farmland, the first Tibetan people…. the earliest everything in Tibet was discovered from this place. On the way to Yumbu Lakhang, I visited Lhamo La-tso, the almost smallest but the most sacred lake for Tibetans. We Tibetans believe that we can see our past life on the surface of this holy lake. Like a gorgeous pearl hidden in the valley, this lake is a place of pilgrimage for we Tibetans.
Never seen before images of the detailed Everest Summit, C1, C2, C3 and C4. The Khumbu Icefall to the Western Cwm, all captured in stunning detail by the DJI Mavic 3.
