Aerial Views: Omaha – Eastern Nebraska (4K)

Omaha is a city in the U.S. state of Nebraska, on the Missouri River close to the Iowa border. A stop on the Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail, it’s known for its pioneer history, museums and cultural centers. The Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium spearheads conservation work and features a big cat complex as well as indoor jungle, rainforest and desert habitats.

Nagoya, capital of Japan’s Aichi Prefecture, is a manufacturing and shipping hub in central Honshu. The city’s Naka ward is home to museums and pachinko (gambling machine) parlors. Naka also includes the Sakae entertainment district, with attractions like the Sky-Boat Ferris wheel, which is attached to a mall. In northern Naka is Nagoya Castle, a partly reconstructed 1612 royal home displaying Edo-era artifacts.

The Spanish city of Valencia offers a colourful mix of a beautiful old town with impressive Art Nouveau market halls, futuristic architecture, many green areas and wonderful beaches. There is a great joie de vivre, which is not surprising at all thanks to the Mediterranean climate – even in November, when I was visiting. The pleasant atmosphere and weather encourages you to spend time outdoor. I start my camera tour from the former defence towers Torres de Serranos and the impressive old town. And those who know me or my videos know that I am a big fan of old towns, and in Valencia there really is a lot to discover. Side trips to the Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias with its futuristic architecture and the beach are of course are also a must.

Pesaro is a town on Italy’s Adriatic coast. Near the grand Piazza del Popolo, Casa Rossini is the birthplace of the 19th-century opera composer Gioachino Rossini, and features prints, sheet music and multimedia displays. The Civic Museums within Mosca Palace house Renaissance paintings and a large collection of ceramics. Northwest, Mount San Bartolo Natural Park has trails and sweeping vistas of the Adriatic Sea.

Vienna, Austria’s capital, lies in the country’s east on the Danube River. Its artistic and intellectual legacy was shaped by residents including Mozart, Beethoven and Sigmund Freud. The city is also known for its Imperial palaces, including Schönbrunn, the Habsburgs’ summer residence. In the MuseumsQuartier district, historic and contemporary buildings display works by Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt and other artists.

Tanzania is an East African country known for its vast wilderness areas. They include the plains of Serengeti National Park, a safari mecca populated by the “big five” game (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino), and Kilimanjaro National Park, home to Africa’s highest mountain. Offshore lie the tropical islands of Zanzibar, with Arabic influences, and Mafia, with a marine park home to whale sharks and coral reefs.

Walking Tour: Rosenheim – Bavaria, Germany (4K)

Rosenheim is a city in Bavaria, southeastern Germany. Its Lokschuppen Rosenheim arts center hosts exhibits in a converted 19th-century railway depot. Max-Josefs-Platz, the market square, is surrounded by arcades, cafes and centuries-old townhouses. The Municipal Museum has displays of local history, including Roman relics. To the east, Simssee is a lake with trails in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps.

Spring City Walks: Rue Mouffetard – Paris (4K)

Rue Mouffetard is a street in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, France. Situated in the fifth arrondissement of Paris, Rue Mouffetard is one of Paris’s oldest and liveliest neighbourhoods. These days the area has many restaurants, shops, and cafés, and a regular open market.
