Travel Adventures: 5 Days Touring Iceland In 2022

Marco Moritz Photography – A five day adventure in Iceland in August 2022.

Iceland, island country located in the North Atlantic Ocean. Lying on the constantly active geologic border between North America and Europe, Iceland is a land of vivid contrasts of climate, geography, and culture. Sparkling glaciers, such as Vatna Glacier (Vatnajökull), Europe’s largest, lie across its ruggedly beautiful mountain ranges; abundant hot geysers provide heat for many of the country’s homes and buildings and allow for hothouse agriculture year-round; and the offshore Gulf Stream provides a surprisingly mild climate for what is one of the northernmost inhabited places on the planet.

Hikes: Climbing Highest Wooden Staircase In The World In Flørli, Norway

Euromaxx Reporter Axel Primavesi is the man you want for special assignments. In our series “Axel On The Edge” he reaches and then crosses his limits. In the first episode he travels to Norway to climb the highest wooden staircase in the world. It has a mere 4,444 steps and goes along the pipes of a disused hydroelectric power plant in the hamlet of Flørli up a 700 meter high mountain in the south of Norway.

Road Trips: ‘North Cape In Norway’ – Northern Most Point In Europe By Car

A journey along Norway’s most northern coast to the northernmost point in Europe that can be accessed by car: North Cape. The more north you travel, the more remote, vast and rough the environment gets. From the Lyngen Alps it was still roughly 400 Kiolometers to Nordkapp – and we decided to cover this distance in one day. We met ( a lot of!!!) reindeer, rode on route E6 over the mountain pass Kvænangsfjellet at 402 meters altitude (yes, that doesn’t sound very high, but it’s indeed one of the highest passes in this far north of Norway) and turned on Route 69 at Olderfjord to follow the coast. The closer we got to Nordkapp, the more I felt like like dreaming. Maybe because all of a sudden our goal was so close. But instead of driving straight to North Cape we drove to the town Honningsvåg first after driving through the North Cape tunnel and reaching the island Magerøya. Honningsvåg has the largest cruise port in Northern Norway and was our base to head to North Cape at 5am the following morning. We had a reason to visit Nordkapp that early. Rumors said that taking a motorcycle to the iconic globe, the symbol of North Cape, is only possible as long as the tourist center is closed. With opening times from 10.30 am to 1 am in summer due to the midnight sun, there is only a very limited time frame to do so. If you want to know how to ride your motorcycle to North Cape this episode is for you – or if you just want to reach the northernmost point in Europe that can be accessed by vehicle with me.

Adventure: ‘Helicamping In The Lapland Wilderness’ In Sweden (Travel Video)

A Short by Viggo Lundberg & Tobias Hägg

After many visits to Swedish Lapland my love for the area just keeps on growing, there is few places on earth where I feel so at home.

I have done many helicopter flights in these regions of Swedish Lapland, mostly for photography. Everytime i pass certain areas it just takes my breath away and i’ve always wondered what it would be like down there. So i decided to try to reach it . Unfortunately it’s not so easy to reach by foot so we went Helicamping and we spent an unforgettable evening out in Rittak, Swedish Lapland.

Lappland, often anglicised as Lapland, is a province in northernmost Sweden. It borders Jämtland, Ångermanland, Västerbotten, Norrbotten, Norway and Finland. Nearly a quarter of Sweden’s land area is in Lappland. Lappland originally extended eastward.

Travel Videos: ‘Memories From The Dolomites’ (2020)

Filmed and Edited by: Sam Rogue

This film summarises our 10 days trip to the dolomites, followed by some 5 days or so in Cinque Terre. Only on our last day I had the idea for the notebook and how to tie the whole story together, so we filmed those parts on our last afternoon, and I called up Luca whom I’d met spontaneously through Instagram and who had come to the famous Seceda-2500 with us, and asked him if he was okay with narrating the story.
