Tilt-Shift Travel: ‘Los Angeles – California’ (4K)

Los Angeles is the largest city in California and the second-largest city in the USA. Like everything else, L.A. looks much better in miniature. This is one of the last projects that I shot pre-pandemic, in case you wonder why nobody is wearing masks.

Los Angeles is a sprawling Southern California city and the center of the nation’s film and television industry. Near its iconic Hollywood sign, studios such as Paramount Pictures, Universal and Warner Brothers offer behind-the-scenes tours. On Hollywood Boulevard, TCL Chinese Theatre displays celebrities’ hand- and footprints, the Walk of Fame honors thousands of luminaries and vendors sell maps to stars’ homes.

The Danube Delta is the second largest river delta in Europe. The greater part of the Danube Delta lies in Romania. This area was by far my favorite on my Romania trip. It is an amazing eco system with incredible wildlife and it’s amazingly beautiful. This film was shot in Tulcea and around Sfantu Gheorge.

Sofia is the capital of Bulgaria, an amazing county in Eastern Europe and probably one of the most underrated travel destinations in Europe. Sofia is surrounded by mountainsides, such as Vitosha by the southern side, Lyulin by the western side, and the Balkan Mountains by the north, which makes it the third highest European capital after Andorra la Vella and Madrid. It’s an amazing and vibrant city to visit and you can get a very good idea about this place in less than 3 minutes in this time lapse, tilt-shift and drone video. Like everything else, Sofia looks even better in miniature size.

Travel Video: ‘Abandoned Olympic Ruins In Sarajevo’, Bosnia And Herzegovina

Filmed and Edited by: Joerg Daiber

The Winter Olympics in 1984 were held in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia (in what is now Bosnia and Herzegovina). It was the first Winter Olympic Games held in a socialist state.

During the Siege of Sarajevo (1992 – 1996), the longest siege of a capital city in modern warfare, fighters on both sides took to the mountains surrounding the city, using the Olympic structures as battlements and storage for their fighting and weapons. The bobsled track became an artillery stronghold for Bosnian-Serbs—some defensive holes, drilled by troops, can still be seen in the track’s concrete walls. The ski jumps—also sites of heavy fighting—remain unused. Only recently this area has been cleared off from land mines.

Tiltshift photography is a creative and unique type of photography in which the camera is manipulated so that a life-sized location or subject looks like a miniature-scale model.

New Timelapse Travel Videos: ‘Sarajevo’ In Bosnia And Herzegovina

Filmed and Edited by: Joerg Daiber

Sarajevo is the capital and largest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Due to its long history of religious and cultural diversity, Sarajevo is sometimes called the “Jerusalem of Europe. It is one of only a few major European cities to have a mosque, Catholic church, Orthodox church and synagogue within the same neighborhood. In 1914, Sarajevo was the site of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria by local Young Bosnia activist Gavrilo Princip that sparked World War I. After World War II, the establishment of the Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the Second Yugoslavia led to a massive expansion of Sarajevo, which culminated with the hosting of the 1984 Winter Olympics marking a prosperous era for the city.

The next episode of Little Big World will feature the abandoned and destroyed venues of these Winter Olympics so stay tuned for more. However, after the start of the Yugoslav Wars, for 1,425 days, from April 1992 to February 1996, the city suffered the longest siege of a capital city in the history of modern warfare, during the Bosnian War. This city definately has seen a fair share of melodrama. That might be the reason why I have picked a music that may be a bit over the top in terms of drama for this film.

These days Sarajevo is the fastest growing city in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a prospering place with expanding tourism. It’s an amazing place to visit and you will get a good idea of this place in this 3 minutes video.

Timelapse Travel Video: “Flower Carpet – Brussels” By Joerg Daiber (2020)

Filmed and Edited by: Joerg Daiber

Two years ago I shot a film about Brussels for visit.Brussels and I ended up editing a separate film from the Flower Carpet since I had quite a bit of footage and only a few shots made it into the film. The idea was to release this film in 2020 when the next Flower Carpet event in Brussels takes place. Well, you can guess how that is going. Of course the event has been cancelled, but until the next one takes place you can enjoy the awesomeness here.
