Susten Pass (el. 2260 m.) is a mountain pass in the Swiss Alps. The pass road, built from 1938–1945, connects Innertkirchen in the canton of Bern with Wassen in the canton of Uri. A 300-metre long tunnel crosses the pass at 2,224 metres. The pass is popular with tourists, especially for the views of the Stein Glacier on the south side.

Nearby is the centuries-old Castello Doria, an imposing clifftop fortress with views of the Gulf of Poets.

The new long-distance path Tell-Trail wends its way across the scenic Lucerne-Lake Lucerne region – from Altdorf up to the Brienzer Rothorn. In eight stages, the trail passes by glittering mountain lakes, through historic villages and world-renowned towns, and takes in the “Big 6” mountains of central Switzerland: Fronalpstock (Stoos), Rigi, Pilatus, Stanserhorn, Titlis and Brienzer Rothorn. The hikes are demanding and the views are dazzling: If it weren’t for the landvogt Gessler, Wilhelm and Walter would have loved to take on this tour.

The Krimml Waterfalls (in German: Krimmler Wasserfälle) are the highest in Austria with a total height of 380 metres (1,247 feet). The falls are on the Krimmler Ache river, located near the village of Krimml in the High Tauern National Park (State of Salzburg) Krimmler Waterfalls is a tiered waterfall which begins at the top of the Krimmler Ache valley, and plunges downward in three stages. The upper stage has a drop of 140 metres, the middle of 100 metres, and the lowest a drop of 140 metres. The highest point of the waterfall is 1,470 metres above sea level.
