Camping: Kjerag Falls at Lysefjorden, Norway (4K)

Norways Most Beautiful Summer Experience? Sunset Camping at Kjerag Falls 1000 m above Lysefjorden 4k June 2021.

Camping a 1000m above Lysefjord and experiencing the Kjerag Waterfall in a spectacular sunset from above, I found this experience to be better than watching the Yosemite Firefalls, very similar effect, but seen alone from right above the waterfall with a rainbow and the Fjord with tiny boats and everything before going to sleep in my tent.

Hiking Video: Pulpit Rock & Preikestolen In Norway

Preikestolen, Pulpit Rock, Hiking the most Iconic landmark and views in Norway and Scandinavia. Raised 604m/1982ft from the water of Lysefjord in Ryfylke, Rogaland it is one of the most spectacular sights in Norway, if not the world.

To get to the trailhead I needed to the drive through the Ryfast tunnel, the worlds longest and deepest sub sea tunnel. I have included a 2 minute Time Warp video of the tunnel drive in the video. Filmed in 5k on GoPro Hero 9. A very different experience from backpacking in the Sierra Nevada, Sequoia Kings Canyon, Utah, Yellowstone National Park and similar in the USA, but the views and feeling in your gut will equal the feeling of looking over the edge towards Lone Pine on top of Mount Whitney or Mt Langley in California or Angels Landing in Zion National Park, Utah. Maybe even Grand Viewpoint in the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Enjoy and have a happy thanksgiving celebration!

Trail Hike Travel Video: ‘Fjords Of Norway’ (2020)

Filmed and Edited by: Norwegian Xplorer

This is a video from Lysefjord in Norway, hiking Kjerag, Kjeragbolten and Kjerag Falls, in the fall of 2020. “The 1,110-metre (3,640 ft) tall mountain sits on the southern shore of Lysefjorden, just southwest of the village of Lysebotn. Its northern side is a massive cliff, plunging 984 metres (3,228 ft) almost straight down to fjord, a sight which attracts many visitors each year. Another tourist attraction, the Kjeragbolten, a 5-cubic-metre (180 cu ft) stone wedged between two rocks is located on the mountain. The Kjeragfossen waterfall plunges off the mountain down to the fjord. It is one of the tallest waterfalls in the world”.

New Travel Video: ‘Mount Whitney – Backpacking Highest Peak In Lower 48’

Hiking Mount Whitney from Guitar Lake, Crabtree Meadow,

Backpacking the Highest Peak in the Lower 48 States, 14505ft, Sequoia National Park Sierra Nevada just as Creek Fire starts. 4k60fps Mt Whitney Hiking This is part 3 of 3 of my 6 day backpacking trip from Horseshoe Meadow, Cottonwood Lakes, Army Pass, Miter Basin, Sierra High Trail, Crabtree Pass, Crabtree Lakes, Crabtree Meadows, PCT, JMT, Guitar Lake and finally summiting Mount Whitney and exciting Whitney Portal as the Creek Fire started blowing up. No drama for us, but it got pretty smoky and eerie towards the end of the trip, and so strange and beautiful at the same time, best hike I ever did was up from Guitar Lake to the Summit, with the stretch from Trail Crest being insane!

Inyo National Forest and Sequoia National Park, John Muir Wilderness and the Whitney Zone.
